The first major stop is the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages. This ancient ksar has been used as a filming location for many international movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You will have time to explore the kasbah and enjoy lunch in the area.

In the afternoon, continue through Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Africa, before traveling along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the beautiful Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional riad or hotel.

2 Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, drive through the stunning Dades Valley, known for its spectacular rock formations and scenic mountain roads. Continue toward Tinghir and the impressive Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs rise up to 300 meters, creating one of the most dramatic canyon landscapes in Morocco. Enjoy a short walk through the gorge and lunch nearby.

In the afternoon, continue your journey through Erfoud and Rissani, famous for their traditional markets and fossil workshops. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Here you will begin your unforgettable camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
